Now, you can harness the annotation power of Hypothes.is in Pressbooks. The annotator now comes built into core Pressbooks. You can use Hypothes.is as an annotator for editing groups working on a book, to handle peer review, and even as a classroom tool for students.\n\nIn this chapter, you\u2019ll learn how to:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Activate Hypothes.is for your Pressbook<\/li>\n \t<li>Register for a Hypothes.is account<\/li>\n \t<li>Annotate<\/li>\n \t<li>Create annotation groups<\/li>\n \t<li>Review annotation activity<\/li>\n \t<li>Access additional Hypothes.is resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h4>\u00a0Activate Hypothes.is for your Pressbook<\/h4>\nBy default Hypothes.is is not activated in your Pressbook. In order to turn on the annotation tool, click Settings on the right-hand menu, then click Hypothesis. This will load the Hypothesis Settings Page.\n\nThe Hypothesis Settings menu includes:\n<ol>\n \t<li>Highlights on by default - check this box if you want the annotation highlights to be turned on by default for your book.<\/li>\n \t<li>Sidebar open by default - \u00a0check this box if you want the annotation pane to be open by default on your book.<\/li>\n \t<li>Enable annotation for PDFs in Media Library - \u00a0check this box if you want to enable annotation for PDFs in your media library.<\/li>\n \t<li>\u00a0Content Settings \u00a0- these check boxes control where Hypothes.is is loaded on your book. This might be helpful to show students if you're using a group to manage class annotations.\n\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-Ah1Be-sz28&amp;list=PLmuJEyeapl2eznT3UHbLxuaQJaulzKHVZ&amp;index=5\n<h4>Review Annotation Activity<\/h4>\nOnce you're the member of a group, you can easily review the annotation activity for that group.\n\nTo navigate to the annotation activity for a specific group, open the annotation pane on your book and select the user icon to open the drop-down tray of options, then click on your username.\n\n<img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-57 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/integrations.pressbooks.network\/app\/uploads\/sites\/100\/2020\/05\/annotation-pane.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"484\" height=\"223\">\n\nThis will load your account page, from there click Groups and from the drop-down tray select the group you want to review.
